Mumbai, Oct. 22 -- Don't be surprised if you spot Deepika Padukone at the Taj Mahal sans her entourage on a full moon night. The actor has been quietly visiting the 17th century mausoleum in Agra on full moon nights. Deepika's close aides reveal that in the last six months, she has made four to five trips to the Taj.
Although the actor's close friends have been wondering about her regular trips, she wants to keep things private. Sources close to her reveal that whenever she visits the monument, it's kept very confidential. In fact, she makes sure that the number of people accompanying her is also kept to a minimum.
When contacted to comment on this odd fascination, Deepika didn't deny her attraction towards the Taj Mahal, but she refused to discuss it in detail. "I don't really want to talk about it," she says with a smile. A year ago, the actor had visited the Taj for the first time for a photo shoot. Although the shoot got cancelled, Deepika got hooked to the mausoleum. Not many know the reason behind her regular visits, but Deepika's close aides reveal that watching the Taj on full moon nights makes her feel happy and peaceful. Although the actor refuses to discuss her obsession with the Wonder of the World, her close aides contend that if she is in India on November 10 the next full moon night -she will surely pay a visit again.
Around October 11 (last full moon light), in fact, she had sent her staff members and support team into a tizzy. Deepika hit the runway for fashion designer Wendell Rodricks at a fashion show in Delhi. By the next morning, she wrapped up all her work and asked her team members to leave for Mumbai. But everyone hit the panic button when they couldn't trace her for the next 24 hours. Then, she called them saying she was at the Taj Mahal. On the work front, Deepika's hands are full with Desi Boyz, followed by Saif Ali Khan-starrer Cocktail and Ayan Mukerji's Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani with exboyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. In the meantime, she is also trying to work out her date diary to fit in Race 2 as well, the dates for which are clashing with Ayan's film.
