Adnan Sami Wants To Buy Flat In Delhi Case In High Court

Though residing in India for past 13 years, Pakistani singer Adnan Sami Khan has asked Delhi High Court to get the permit by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to buy a flat there in India.
However, the Delhi High Court has ordered the government and RBI to respond to the plea of Adnan Sami Khan as certain laws prohibit him to buy immovable property in India, but he urges to get so. Adnan Sami Khan has filed a petition claiming that he is a professional artist, residing in India for past 13 years and has even sung the World Cup Cricket song for the Indian team.
According to him, the RBI circular is discriminatory as even after long residence it requires a foreign citizen to seek permission from RBI.
Adnan Sami Khan wants to buy a flat in DLF Capital Greens but regulation has been prohibiting him from buying a property there.
