On Pakistan Day President Asif Ali Zardari conferred civil awards to, among many others, actors Javed Shaikh, Noman Ejaz, Qavi Khan and the one and not-so-lonely Meera. Folks, let’s hand it to Meera for being there and conducting herself in a pretty dignified manner. She looked elegant, as Meera does when she opts not to speak. So kudos to all those who received their pride of performance honours!
Amidst all of this, come to think of it, the news of Meera getting hitched to a certain Mr Naveed has died down. Usually this happens when someone related to the actress creates a commotion for a few days, keeps her in the news and then fades away. This time round, it’s not so. There’s a strange lull on the marriage front, particularly after getting the award. What is Meera up to? Stay tuned. You might be in for a surprise or two.
