A mother of all action films is being planned by the south filmmaker Aascar Ravichandran. The filmmaker had recently revealed his plans to make a sequel to the Jackie Chan superhit Armour of God. Ravichandran has been pursuing negotiations with Jackie Chan for the last few years and now a deal is closed to being sealed.
But the big scoop for Bollywood fans is that the film will in all likelihood have Salman Khan sharing screen space with Jackie Chan. There will also be a south superstar and though the obvious guesses would be the likes of Rajinikanth or Kamal Haasan, we hear that Ravichandran is looking out for a younger actor with a body to withstand dangerous action and stunt sequences. Buzz is that the filmmaker might rope in Suriya, but there is no confirmation of it yet.
Moreover, the film is going to be made on a huge scale and a mammoth budget of Rs. 400 crore. If true, it would be the most expensive film to be produced in India ever.
Salman Khan is presently busy with the shooting of Dabangg 2. He has a few more films lined up for shoot later this year. But if the project with Jackie Chan falls in place, the superstar would probably put other films on the backburner for this actioner.
Ravichandran has confirmed that he is in talks with Salman Khan for the project.
