She is famous as the sultry diva of Bollywood. But when it came to doing an archetypal song-and-dance routine for the Players music launch, Bipasha Basu put her foot down.
The actor, who shows off her action avatar for Abbas-Mustan’s next thriller, was initially supposed to do a jig at the music launch. But later, Bipasha told the filmmakers that she had something different in mind.
“When Bipasha saw that Abhishek (Bachchan), Bobby (Deol) and Sikander (Kher) were scheduled to perform stunts, she told Abbas-Mustan and Allan Amin (action director) that she too wanted to do the same, and had a long discussion with them about it,” says an organiser.
When contacted, Bipasha confirms, “I was supposed to do a song-and-dance routine, but I decided against it after watching the boys do their rehearsals.” At the event, the actor was seen tossing bombs in between buses and performing daredevil acts on an ATV bike.
