I want to be in a relationship: Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor has a reputation of sorts. Ever since his much-publicised break-up with former flame Deepika Padukone, there have been lots of women he has been lined with — whether its stars like Katrina Kaif or starlets like Anushka Sharma, Nargis Fakhri, Angela Jonsson or Ileana
D’Cruz.
But random news and rumours don’t bother the Kapoor scion. “I’m focused on my journey to my goal,” he says, adding, “All these things can’t distract me. It’s a part of my job. I just want to work with good directors and do films like Rockstar. I’m consciously doing that. And there is no doubt that I will achieve success, but I need that much time, hard work and a solid body of work.”
Admitting that he is a lot more cautious about whom he gets friendly with, he adds, “I respect women. I don’t think anyone can use anybody or that I am of use to anyone. If I meet someone, sometimes it’s misreported. As a result, lots of stories are derived. It’s a bad case of Chinese whispers basically. Unless I don’t know the truth from the person itself, I don’t believe in stories around me. There is nothing that I am losing.”
However the actor insists that he isn’t wary of dating and does indeed want to “fall in love”. “I am a normal 28-year-old boy. I want to be in a relationship. However, right now I am single. I have been single for quite a long time, but there are no fears or notions I have about meeting a girl,” says Kapoor. Though the actor is now slated to work with Padukone in Karan Johar’s Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, he denies any, awkwardness: “We start the film in January. She’s a very successful actor and we debuted around the same time. She has grown as an actor.”
