Jab Tak Hai Jaan Breaks All Pakistani Records

Yash Chopra’s last directorial venture ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ has made a larger than live arrival at the Pakistani cinemas, with a blockbuster opening netting in Rs 4 million in ticket sales on the first day alone.

The film opened in Pakistani cinemas on November 16, breaking all previous records with 9,000 seats booked in advance.

The film is being distributed in Pakistan by IMGC Global. The IMGC Global chairman, who also was a very close friend of late legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra, held a premiere of ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ at the Atrium, Karachi on November 15. The special screening was arranged to pay tribute to Yash Chopra and to celebrate his last directorial offering. A large number of celebrities attended the premiere and shared their thoughts about Yash Chopra. It is not only in Pakistan that ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ endorsed a great opening; the movie has made record breaking openings all over the world. Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh has termed it as the “best Diwali for Bollywood”, with huge openings through out the US, Europe and Australia.

Film critics have termed ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ as one of Yash Chopra’s finest romantic creations, which will keep the King of Romance alive in the hearts of viewers for a long time to come.

Salman Khan in Katrina Kaif’s vanity van!

Before your imagination cooks up anything steamy, let’s just say that nothing hanky-panky is going on between Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif; at least nothing that the media has got the whiff of yet! So what was Salman Khan doing in Katrina Kaif’s vanity van, you ask? Well, Salman borrowed it. The superstar was recently spotted using Katrina’s van while shooting for a commercial at a studio. Katrina, on the other hand, was in London shooting with -- guess who! -- Shahrukh Khan for Yash Chopra’s next film, rumoured to be titled London Ishq. Salman’s vanity van, we hear, developed some kind of technical snag and as a replacement he opted for the van that Katrina Kaif hires. Was it because he’s more comfortable using Kat’s favourite van, is anybody’s guess, but what surprised us more was that Salman was also using Katrina’s black Audi car. Seems like the Ek Tha Tiger shooting schedule in Dublin, Istanbul and Cuba has brought the ex lovers closer than they have been since their split. After Salman using her vanity van and her personal car, what do we hope to see next? Salman moving in Katrina’s apartment while she’s away? Now, we are letting our imagination run wild.
