Tips for removing eye makeup

Eye makeup is not easy to remove. Leftover traces stay on the eyes that can affect appearance and health of the skin or eyes. Therefore, it is important to clean it from even the minute amount of makeup.

For removing caked-on thick layers of makeup from eyes, use commercial makeup removers. The best brands offer high-quality removers that work excellent.
Vaseline
A smart alternate to commercial makeup removers is using Vaseline. Coat eye area with Vaseline and carefully rub it. Keep moving over makeup area until it completely vanishes. Wash thoroughly with warm water.
Baby oil
When no remover works, don’t feel panic. Try baby oil instead. Its greasy texture helps lift makeup off the skin. It’s an easy and fast way to get rid of traces. While using a cotton ball, begin with inner corner of the eye to outer end. Pinch cotton tight to make sure it does not irritate your eyes.
Moisturizing pads
Some brands offer moisturizing eye makeup remover pads. These are also highly effective to wipe away eye shadow and liner swiftly. These have natural extracts that are not harmful for delicate skin of the eyelid. Their soothing effect makes them more popular and worth using.
Normal cleansing milk
Good quality cleansing milk used for general cleansing purposes can also be considered. Apply appropriate amount of lotion and gently rub with cotton ball, swab or tissue paper all over eye area. Keep moving until all traces are gone. Wash with fresh water and pat dry.
Be regular
Cleanse your eye makeup daily to avoid infections, irritation and other skin disturbances. If you are wearing artificial eye lashes, take these off first and then apply makeup remover, lotion or cleanser. Don’t rub natural eye lashes too hard to remove mascara. It can weaken those tiny hairs and cause them to break.
