Kareena Kapoor is a busy star with three releases coming up in quick succession. Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu with Imran Khan opens this Friday, followed by Saif Ali Khan’s home production, Agent Vinod, on March 23, and Taalash, opposite Aamir Khan, on June 1.
But what’s making her smile extra bright is that Vikram Bhatt’s Dangerous Ishq that marks a comeback for her sister, after a six-year hibernation, is scheduled for May 11, with a Cannes showcase on the cards.
Karisma has also agreed to an item number in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Rowdy Rathore. “We Kapoor girls are going to be all over the TV and in the theatres over the next few months,” she promises.
Kareena’s always been Karisma’s biggest fan, looking up at her as a role model. “In her time she was the No 1 heroine and even today with her glowing million dollar face, she looks better than any of us,” she raves. “Lolo is in a completely different phase in her life and career. After years of refusing offers, she finally wants to work again, though of course, she won’t be doing five films a year.”
Meanwhile, buzz is that Kareena has also given the nod to a Sanjay Bhansali film, a Romeo-Juliet love story with Ranveer Singh, and reportedly signed up for Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express opposite Shah Rukh Khan too. “I haven’t signed any new films. Even with Chennai Express nothing is finalised. I’ve just returned from a quiet holiday with Saif in Switzerland. I’m looking at two-three scripts, you can expect some announcements soon.”
