Shahid Kapoor drives away with another Bollywood hottie! Guess who?

A few days back, there was a strong buzz about Shahid Kapoor going on a long drive with Bipasha Basu. The two were spotted on the outskirts of Mumbai. Now, Malika Haydon is the latest Bollywood hottie, whom Shahid apparently gave a ride in his car. 

Giving rides to beautiful girls is not new to this charming actor. Enjoying singledom for quite some time now, Shahid Kapoor never confirms that he’s actually dating a girl. His link-up stories with Nargis Fakhri and Bipasha Basu are yet to die out, and now it is said that his new friend is the bikini hottie Malika Haydon, the ‘I’ll do the talking’ girl from Agent Vinod, and also a Kingfisher girl. 

Recently Malika Haydon and her sister-model Lisa Haydon were seen leaving a party together, but instead of going in the same car, the two sisters took different route. Malika apparently went ahead to another car waiting for her, and Shahid Kapoor was in the driver’s seat. Then what! The two were off to someplace away from prying eyes. 

It seems the most eligible bachelor of tinsel ville is taking some time to find out his right girl. Who’s next on the list?

Shahid Kapoor dating Bipasha Basu?

The old chestnut ‘Just Good Friends’ no longer passes muster with the media that has witnessed many such ‘friends’ turn into lovers in a wink. Looks like Shahid Kapoor and Bipasha Basu are one such couple taking their relationship to a new level. 

This is not the first time we hear of a rumour linking Bipasha Basu and Shahid Kapoor and rest assured it won’t be the last. But the frequency with which they have been spotted together lately makes us think that something might indeed be brewing between the two. 

The duo has been spotted more often than not at cafes and restaurants, spending quality time with each other, and now we hear of Shasha and Bips going on a long drive out of town. If that’s not enough, Shahid has been recommending Bipasha for the lead role opposite him in an upcoming actioner. Need we even mention that the film might have a steamy scene between the two. 

Expectedly, both Shahid Kapoor and Bipasha Basu are choosing to ignore the rumours of their link-up. The rumours previously cropped up when Bipasha was a special guest at Shahid Kapoor’s birthday and also when she bonded with him at an award function (see pic above). 

It’s no secret that Shahid and Priyanka Chopra are no longer an item and Bipasha has put behind her the break-up with John Abraham. Now, when two good-looking, single, and verily eligible individuals bond on long drives and cosy outings, the talk is bound to go round.

Bollywood remembers Rajesh Khanna as the ‘king of romance’

Bollywood celebrities are saddened by the death of the original superstar Rajesh Khanna in Mumbai on Wednesday. He is being remembered as a ‘king of romance’, a ‘charmer’, the ‘first superstar’ and many similes of lavish praise. 

An ailing Rajesh Khanna succumbed to his prolonged illness today and left for his heavenly abode at the age of 69. As soon as the news of his death spread around, tributes started pouring in for the superstar.

Doing 'shayari' made Shahid Kapoor nervous

After making Aamir Khan do the 'shayari' in "Fanaa", director Kunal Kohli asked Shahid Kapoor to do some poetry in Teri Meri Kahaaniand the actor says he was very nervous about it.

"It's (shayari) something I really enjoyed in 'Fanaa' as well. I was nervous to be doing it because somebody like Mr. Aamir Khan had done it," the 30-year-old told reporters on Thursday while unveiling the first look of Teri Meri Kahaani.

"I told Kunal Kohli also that I hope I don't make a fool of myself as it was done really well in your earlier film. But he was very kind and said we'll find a way of doing it well," Shahid added.

"Teri Meri Kahaani" stars Priyanka Chopra opposite Shahid Kapoor and is set in three eras - 1910, 1960 and 2012. The film, being promoted with the tagline - 'Thrice Upon A Love Story', will hit theatres on June 22.

Shahid Kapoor plays Javed Quadri, one of the three characters in "Teri Meri Kahani". The character is set in pre-independence Lahore.

"I got a chance to say this (shayari) as Javed's character and I think Javed is really cool. Of all the three characters, Javed is the worst behaved. I always say this to Kunal that the character of Javed is the worst person to be existing at a time, that is in 1910, when everyone was supposed to be very well behaved," he said.

The role was both fun and difficult for the actor.

"I loved playing this character because by using shayari he does anything he wants. So I found that character very exciting and also the most difficult because I think I am playing a Muslim character for the first time in my career," said Shahid.

"Secondly, it was very heroic, massy kind of character. He is not afraid of anyone, does what he wants and teases any girl he wishes," he added.

I am unemployed: Shahid Kapoor

While most actors have chock-a-block shooting schedules in 2012, Shahid Kapoor has no qualms in admitting that he has no work on hand as of now. The actor recently wrapped up shooting for Kunal Kohli's tentatively titled Teri Meri Kahaani, in which he features with Priyanka Chopra. But
after that, he is still waiting to lock something.

"I don't like to comment on any of my films till the producers make an official announcement. All I can say is I don't have any films right now. So right now I am unemployed," Shahid told reporters at an event organised here Monday by electronics company Pioneer India.

However, his fans don't need to be disappointed, as he said "In the second half of the year I have many films."

Will his unemployed status come in the way of his plans of settling down?

"I am available. It takes a certain amount of time to establish yourself. It's better if your partner is with you to share your journey in life," commented the actor, whose father's directorial Mausam failed to mint moolah at the box office.

Meanwhile, talking about working with his rumoured ex-girlfriend Priyanka, he hints that the duo will recreate their Kaminey chemistry in Kohli's project.

"It's premature to talk about the film. It's a film which is shot over three different time periodS. It's a romantic comedy. Priyanka is a fun co-star and we share a good chemistry," he said.

Shahid wrapped up shooting on the project January 8. It is scheduled to release June 22.
