It's finally the month of October and as a known fact, Bollywood's star couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor will tie the knot soon within a few days. The couple is all set to marry on October 17th, and the Pataudis are busy making all the arrangements for the much-awaited royal wedding.

The latest rumour is doing the rounds that Saif's mother Sharmila Tagore has invited the President Pranab Mukherjee to the wedding ceremony. A leading daily revealed that Sharmila met Mukherjee at the Rashtrapati Bhavan and spent about 15 minutes. While their conversation, Sharmila invited President Mukherjee and his family to the wedding.

A day ago, Saif and Kareena's wedding card got revealed on the net. The card has been addressed to Nawab and Begum Kazim Ali Khan of Rampur in Uttar Pradesh. And, as confirmed by Sharmila Tagore before, Saifeena's Dawat-e-Walima (wedding reception) will take place on October 18. Reportedly, the wedding will take place on October 17 at the Pataudi palace and only few selected friends and close family will be present for the occasion.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor to wed in December in Maldives!

After all the commotion over their October wedding being postponed because of Kareena Kapoor developing cold feet, Saif Ali Khan is reported to have confirmed a December wedding in Maldives with the actress. 

From start Kareena Kapoor has been very tightlipped about the wedding date and on Wednesday evening, at the launch of the trailer of her upcoming film Heroine, she once again evaded the question. 

When asked when she and Saif Ali Khan plan to marry, Kareena said: “Let's wait for Saif to make the official announcement.” 

Even as Kareena Kapoor said this, Saif was quoted by a Mumbai tabloid as confirming the wedding date with Kareena. 

"And the wedding is in Maldives...100 people...December not October!" Saif Ali Khan confirmed to the Mumbai daily. 

Reportedly, the wedding would be a low-key affair with only close friends and family members in attendance. The couple might later throw a big bash in Mumbai for the friends and acquaintances from the film industry.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s marriage in October, confirms Sharmila Tagore

Of late, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s wedding. Now, Saif’s mom Sharmila Tagore has finally said that the wedding is happening in October, thus putting all rumours to rest.  The yesteryear actress scotches the reports of her visiting Bhopal to sort out the details of the wedding. Sharmila was talking to a tabloid, and said that the wedding preparations are going on in full swing and the wedding will take place either in Pataudi or Mumbai. The lady asserts that they want a quiet wedding because of Tiger Pataudi’s death last year. Though Saif Ali Khan is busy and wants to renovate Pataudi, Sharmila has warned him: first marriage, and then the décor. “I am giving a warning to Saif. I am confirming that the wedding will take place on October 16,” Sharmila Tagore is quoted as saying. Sharmila also confirms that the registered marriage ceremony will take place on the October 16, but nikah may not take place on the same date. Saif is eager to wed in Pataudi, but Kareena Kapoor’s parents want the marriage to take place in Mumbai. Now, the final call will be from Kareena’s father Randhir Kapoor. Saif’s mom said that he will decide the wedding venue. Speculations are also rife about Kareena Kapoor wearing Sharmila’s wedding attire. To which Sharmila says, that it’s true that Kareena will wear the royal dress and jewellery worn by her, but there is lot of work to be done still. With less than four months to go for Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s wedding, the bride-to-be’s wedding dress has been finalized. It will be thesharara that Saif’s mom wore on her wedding. 

Continuing the tradition of the royal Pataudi family, Kareena Kapoor has happily agreed to wear the same sharara that Sharmila Tagore wore on her wedding to the late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi in 1969. 

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor will get hitched on October 16 and the wedding preparations are already said to be underway. Interestingly even though Kareena had a slew of designer friends to choose from to do her wedding outfit, she will respect the tradition of the Khan family by wearing Sharmila Tagore’s sharara. 

Earlier, it was reported that the sharara will be redone and embellished to give it a modern look, but now Sharmila Tagore has now confirmed that no changes will be made to the dress. 

However, Kareena Kapoor’s favourite Bollywood designer Manish Malhotra will reportedly design her trousseau. 

Saif and Kareena will tie the knot in Pataudi in what could be a registered wedding. Later, there would be a lavish reception thrown in Mumbai for the friends and colleagues from the film industry.

These two most popular Kapoors in Bollywood were waiting for the right script to work together. Since Ranbir Kapoor is Kareena Kapoor’s first cousin, their sibling status kept them from pairing romantically. Now, director Zoya Akhtar has something interesting for Ranbir and Kareena. 

The maverick filmmaker has convinced the real life cousins to play the lead roles of a brother and sister in her next venture. As a tabloid reports, Zoya Akhtar, after the successful Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara last year, has already started planning her next, and for that the filmmaker has managed to pull off a casting coup of sorts -- two dazzling Kapoors of the film industry. 

“Both Ranbir and Kareena were always aware that they couldn’t pair romantically for any film. So for them to come together for any project, it needed to have an extraordinary script,” a source is quoted as saying. The film revolves around a brother and a sister, to be played by Ranbir and Kareena. 

Zoya Akhtar wants to revive the brother-sister bonding which used to be a crucial sub-plot in the films of 1990s. Zoya narrated the script to Kareena while she was shooting for Talaash, and as per reports Ranbir Kapoor too has heard the script and has given his consent. The movie is likely to go on the floors by the end of this year.

Salman Khan to gift a BMW to Kareena Kapoor!

Personal relations matter a lot in any industry, but in Bollywood they carry an added dividend. So we were not surprised when Kareena Kapoor didn’t think twice before giving her nod to the item number in Salman Khan’s Dabangg 2. 

Now, one can’t expect Kareena Kapoor, despite her being one of the top actresses in Bollywood presently, to put a demand for a hefty paycheque to Salman Khan, her co-star of the last year’s blockbuster Bodyguard. So Salman has fallen back on the obvious way to show his gratitude for her favour: gift her a BMW. 

The buzz that Salman is going to give this special gift to Kareena started doing the rounds after a tweet from the UTV Motion Pictures’ senior manager Prithwish Ganguly. 

Prithwish posted: “@BeingSalmanKhan to gift Kareena Kapoor a BMW for being a part of Dabangg 2” 

The ritual of gifting colleagues isn’t new in Bollywood. Shahrukh Khan reportedly gifted Sanjay Dutt a bike worth Rs. 15 lakh for his cameo in Ra.One. Akshay Kumar made a huge donation to Salman Khan’s Being Human charity after the latter made a song appearance in Tees Maar Khan.

Kareena Kapoor’s cameo for Akshay Kumar’s 'Rowdy Rathore'!

Kareena Kapoor is busy making special appearances in films nowadays, it seems. Besides the item song in Dabangg 2, Bebo will also be seen making a guest appearance in the Akshay Kumar starrer Rowdy Rathore. 

The actress recently shot for her portions in the film, directed by Prabhu Deva. However, Kareena did not charge any fee for her cameo. Rather, she says she did the cameo for the film’s producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali and co-producer Shabinaa Khan. 

Kareena Kapoor has been on friendly terms with Shabinaa Khan for years. The two first became friends when Shabinaa Khan, as a designer, used to design clothes for Shahid Kapoor. Even though Kareena broke up with Shahid she kept her friendship with Shabinaa intact. And doing a cameo for free for Shabinaa only goes to show Kareena’s love for her. 

However, a source tells us that Shabinaa Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali might reciprocate to Kareena Kapoor’s favour by giving her an expensive gift.

Kareena Kapoor beats Katrina Kaif to be the endorsement queen

Kareena Kapoor’s heydays continue in the year 2012 as well. Her first film of the year with the beau Saif Ali Khan may not have hit the jackpot, but that doesn’t mean fat paycheques are not coming her way. Kareena has been roped in by a beverage brand for an endorsement deal of Rs 5 crore.

Now it’s said that Kareena Kapoor endorses 16 brands in toto. As a source tells a tabloid, “Kareena now has 16 brands in her kitty including the latest one, easily making her the most sought-after face in the ad space amongst the actresses.”

If Katrina Kaif reportedly gets Rs 4-4.5 crore for a deal, Kareena has pipped her after signing the deal of Rs 5 crore. Kareena even shot for the first ad of the brand recently. It’s learnt that Bebo and her team ensured that the ads are entertaining just like the popular ads of other brands featuring Katrina Kaif and Asin respectively.

Is the Heroine factor working for Kareena? She was apparently paid almost Rs 8 crore for the film, and prefers to demand big money for endorsements as well.

Other actresses who are getting staggering amounts for the endorsements are Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Madhuri Dixit, and also Aishwarya Rai. According to recent reports, Rs 10 crore apparently is offered to Aishwarya by a jewellery brand to be its brand ambassador

Kareena Kapoor said my father and my grandfather had made me who I am

Actor Kareena Kapoor, who on Wednesday unveiled her grandfather Raj Kapoor's specially designed brass statue, said he was biased towards her elder sister Karisma Kapoor. "My grandfather Raj Kapoor was biased towards Karisma because both of them had blue eyes. I have green eyes as that of my father," Kareena told reporters.

"During summer seasons he would give two mangoes to Karisma and I would end up getting just one. I had to work hard to please him," she added.

The statue was unveiled at the inauguration of UTV Stars' property Walk of the Stars at the Bandra Bandstand Promenade.

The event witnessed the felicitation of the Kapoor Khandan, one of the legendary families of Indian cinema.

Kareena was accompanied by father Randhir Kapoor to unveil her grandfather's statue.

"I am short of words, what more would I ask for. My father and my grandfather had made me who I am. Which girl has got this opportunity guys," she said.

"Kapoors have acting in their veins and blood. I am looking forward to walk down a memory lane. What better gift than this to the 100 years of Indian cinema."

Director Madhur Bhandarkar joined Kareena in unveiling the signatures of her great grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor, Raj Kapoor, Sunil Dutt and Nargis.

Madhur said: "The way Hollywood has its Walk of Fame even the Hindi film industry now has its Walk of Stars."

A special picture was clicked with Kareena sitting in the lap of the statue of her grandfather where she said: "This is the only lap that Saif would allow me to sit on."

The event was held at a five-star hotel but simultaneously the tiles dedicated to Prithviraj Kapoor, Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Karisma and Kareena were also installed at Bandstand.

A special honour brass statue on a bench of cinema greats Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor was also installed.

Kareena Kapoor’s item is a wonderful song: Bhandarkar

Actress Kareena Kapoor, who has lately been doing many item numbers in Bollywood, is gearing up for her next item song in Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine.

"We have a new item song called 'Halkat Jawani' which is a wonderful song that will be picturised on Kareena Kapoor. I am sure the audiences will love this song. This film 'Heroine' will be a different sort of film for Kareena Kapoor," Madhur Bhandarkar told IANS.

Directed by Bhandarkar, the film has Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampalin the lead.

The director says 40 percent of the shooting has been done.

"Forty percent of the film has been finished. From (April) 10th, we will again have a nonstop shooting and by September the film will be released," he said.

Bhandarkar also sought to deny speculation that the film is based on Manisha Koirala's life.

"This film is not based on Manisha Koirala. It is absolutely wrong. Lot of things had been written about the film before. I have created a character called Mahi Arora who is today's girl. The film is all about how she witnesses the ups and downs in her life," he said.

But the bubble of excitement was pinpricked by Bhandarkar himself who clarified: “Guys let's not speculate. It's for REEL & not real!!! It's for a scene in my film #Heroine. Its FAKE!!!”

So pipe down, all you jumping jacks! Kareena Kapoor is not pregnant, but that does pop a question in our khurapati mind. If Madhur Bhandarkar’sHeroine needed to have its leading lady pregnant, then why did he shelve the film with Aishwarya Rai. At least, that baby bump was for real.
