Desi Boyz film makers in serious trouble
When it comes to Bollywood films, issues of copyright infringement is nothing new! Films like “Om Shanti Om”, “Jannat 2”,
“Rockstar”, “RA.One” have already gone through the hazards due to
copyright infringement issues. Now the latest flick to join the list of
such films is “Desi Boyz”
by Rohit Dhawan, which released last year. And it is the director and
scriptwriter of the film Shyam V Devkatte, who has filed the copyright
case against the film makers last year. The story of Shyam and his
script is a well-read one, but let me reiterate once more for the
readers. Back in 2008, he emailed his story to Eros International. His
story was registered with the Writers’ Association too. And one fine
day, the said story was used for “Desi Boyz” though Shyam had the least
knowledge of his story being used for the film. After he came to know,
all these propelled him to file a case at the Amboli Police Station
under sections 63 and 64.
That is not all, Shyam Devkatte also also lodged a complaint at Metropolitan Magistrate Court and forwarded it to Zonal DCP. However Eros International managed to get stay orders. But Shyam is determined to take the battle to the very next level. Therefore the next step was that a bailable warrant was issued against Krishika Lulla who is the producer of Eros. A summon was also sent from the court to the director of “Desi Boyz”. When Shyam was contacted he said, the producers of the film Jyoti Deshpande and Vijay Ahuja will go through enquiry conducted by the police. He also added that the earlier plea made by the film makers of “Desi Boyz” has been already dismissed by the court.
Shyam Devkatte mentioned that at the last two hearings of the court, none from the film’s crew were present to attend the hearing. So yesterday evening, Amboli Police Station has issued an arrest warrant, since the past two summons yielded no response from the makers of the movie. When Krishika Lulla was contacted, she refrained from making any kind of comments, and just told that she is travelling at present, so will look into the case only after she comes back.
“Desi Boyz” is a comedy flick which stars Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone and Chitrangada Singh. Sanjay Dutt has a guest role in the film too. The film was released in 2011 on 25th of November.

John Abraham’s marriage talk with Asin!
You may accuse us of reading between the lines, but John Abraham’s marital advice to his Housefull 2 co-star Asin calls for some attention.
John and Asin bonded so well while working together on Housefull 2that John even gave her a marriage advice. Since Asin is a Malayali and used to leave John dumbstruck whenever she rattled on in Malayalam which is as good as Greek to John, the actor advised her to get married to a half-Mallu.
Interestingly, John Abraham himself happens to be a half-Mallu since his dad is a Malayali. Which makes us wonder if John was insinuating at something in his marital advice to Asin.
Speculations apart, John did ask Asin to bring some Mallu food to the sets. In fact, he even asked her to cook some for him. Was he trying to test her culinary skills?
Well, now John Abraham has got us thinking!!!

Watch Akshay Kumar and Asin groove to ‘Right Now Now’ from 'Housefull 2' Video
Akshay Kumar and Asin make a fantastic couple in the upcoming movie Housefull 2, as is evident from this new song “Right Now Now”.
The song features the three leading men -- Akshay Kumar, John Abraham and Riteish Deshmukh -- along with their ladies, played by Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez and Zarine Khan, respectively. Missing from the song is the fourth goofball in the bratpack, Shreyas Talpade and his lovely squeeze Shazahn Padamsee. Instead we have a dilated-eyed Johnny Lever gawking at the three couples grooving to the peppy number set in a palatial house.
In the song we see the three ladies dressed in their nighties and knickers. This apart, a few more things catch your attention: firstly, the signature dance step involving a wiggle of the hip; secondly, Akshay Kumar and Asin’s dance moves that stand out among those of the others; thirdly, a decidedly uninterested Zarine Khan trying hard to come up with sensuous expressions; and an annoying Johnny Lever even shaking his booty by the end of the song.
Though not the best number we have seen in a while, “Right Now Now” is indeed an entertaining, engaging song with some interesting moments.

John Abraham detained, out on bail in accident case
Bollywood actor John Abraham, who was detained Friday after a court rejected an appeal against his conviction for injuring two people while riding a motorcycle in 2006, is out on bail.
The Bombay High Court granted the bail to John Abraham and stayed the 15 days jail term awarded earlier by the Sessions Court, which upheld an earlier verdict pronounced by a Bandra magistrate.
After Abraham's lawyers moved the high court post-haste, justice R.C. Chavan granted bail of Rs.20,000 to the actor and also stayed the operation of the lower court sentence till the pendency of the matter.
Police detained Abraham immediately after the sessions court rejected his plea against the 15-day simple imprisonment and fine of Rs.15,000 awarded to him by a magistrate's court in 2010. He was initially taken for a medical examination.
The sessions court also rejected John Abraham's plea for four days' time to surrender.
It was not immediately clear whether the prosecution would seek enhanced punishment for John Abraham.
Bandra additional chief metropolitan magistrate S.V. Kulkarni had convicted Abraham in 2010 for injuring two youths - Tanmay Majhi (19) and Shyam Kasbe (22) when his motorcycle collided with their bicycle in Khar in northwest Mumbai in April 2006.
The actor had rushed the two victims to a hospital.
The 39-year-old model-turned-actor is currently promoting his first production venture Vicky Donor, a film about sperm donors.
He is known for his role in films like Jism, Water, Dostana and Force.
