Is Aishwarya Rai trying to become pregnant again?

Is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan trying to become pregnant again? Some comments by Bollywood gossip writer Rajeev Masand have set tongues wagging about the possibility that Aishwarya might be expecting another baby.
What’s the evidence for this rumor? The first bit is admittedly suspect: Aishwarya has obviously struggled with her weight since giving birth to Aaradhya some five months ago. In fact some of her recent public appearances make it seem like she’s actually gained weight, rather than lost some (the black number she wore to Mukesh Ambani’s party for Sachin Tendulkar was far from slimming). And her hesitance to commit to any long-term film projects (while at the same time being willing to take on small appearances and commercials) is exactly the type of behavior one might expect from an actress who has decided to have another child. She wouldn’t want any repeats of the Heroine disaster, that’s for sure.
But there’s actual substance to this rumor as well: Rajeev Masand has revealed in his latest column that Aishwarya is “extremely keen” to have another child very soon. That desire for a second baby would go a long way towards explaining her decision to take a year (and then some) away from the industry.
So is a baby brother or sister for Aaradhya in the works? It sounds like Aishwarya and Abhishek are definitely planning on one—and from the looks of things, a new baby could be coming sooner rather than later!

Aishwarya Rai’s baby Aaradhya is ‘tall, beautiful, and always smiling’

Here’s some interesting tidbit for those who want to know how Aishwarya Rai’s daughter Aaradhya looks like. None other than grandma Jaya Bachchan spills the beans.

In an interview to BBC, Jaya Bachchan revealed, “Aaradhya looks like a bit of Aishwarya and a bit of Abhishek. She’s a tall girl."

Jaya was also all praise of Aishwarya Rai’s motherly skills.

“Aishwarya is a hands-on mom. She is sometimes overcautious. Aaradhya is not intimidated to faces. She is beautiful. I call her Strawberry because when she was born she reminded me of a strawberry. She is always smiling. Touchwood. Now she`s trying to crawl and it`s special to us,” reveals the proud grandma.

Jaya Bachchan added: “Sometimes I tease Aishwarya and I say well Aaradhya is a very lucky girl because can you imagine having a nurse like Miss World Aishwarya! I would also like her (Aishwarya) to start going out but she is absolutely, totally hands down and doesn’t depend on anybody, which I think is great.”

To Jaya’s description could be added a little revelation by a fan who got the chance to have a good look at Aaradhya in London. The fan said that Aaradhya has brown eyes.

Aishwarya Rai planning second baby?

Hardly five months after the birth of their first baby girl Aaradhya, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan are rumoured to be planning another baby.

The buzz in the industry, sparked by a column by a leading film critic, suggests that Aishwarya Rai is enjoying her motherhood duties so much that she wants another baby from Abhishek Bachchan soon.

The critic quotes a close friend of the Bachchans as saying that Aishwarya has turned out to be a hands-on mom and personally changes her daughter’s diapers, gives her the bath, and burps up the little one, leaving hardly anything to the nanny.

Well, that doesn’t surprise us. What does is the revelation by a source that Aishwarya Rai is “extremely keen” on having the second baby.

The actress has already taken a sabbatical from Bollywood to do her motherly duties, and though she has been fulfilling some professional commitments on the sidelines, baby Aaradhya remains Aishwarya’s top priority now.

Aishwarya Rai, Arjun Rampal and Bipasha Basu likely to head to Cannes

The Cannes International Film Festival red carpet is not indifferent to Bollywood presence and this time again a number of celebrities, including Aishwarya Rai, Arjun Rampal and Bipasha Basu are likely to attend the gala, to be held May 16-27.

Arjun Rampal is expected to make an appearance at the forthcoming 65th Cannes International Film Festival as the ambassador of liquor brand Chivas, the official partner of the event. He is likely to be accompanied by his designer friend Rohit Bal.

The actor had recently expressed a desire to showcase his upcoming film "Heroine" at the Cannes Film Festival. "I would love to be (a part of Cannes festival). That is a film that deserves to be there. If 'Heroine' can be showcased there, it will be great," said Arjun.

Directed by Madhur Bhandarkar and co-produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Bhandarkar, the film has Kareena Kapoor and Arjun in the lead roles. Randeep Hooda and Shahana Goswami will also be seen in pivotal roles.

"Heroine" was announced with Aishwarya Rai at the festival last year. But she opted out of the film due to her pregnancy. The director had to replace her with Kareena Kapoor.

However, to keep the red carpet tradition alive, Aishwarya Rai is most likely to grace the French film festival again this time. She has been attending the festival since 2002 as the global face of L'Oreal.

Like Aishwarya, actress Mallika Sherawat has been a regular at the Cannes red carpet, but whether she will attend the gala this year or not is still a mystery.

Bipasha Basu may also attend the festival to promote her debut international movie "Singularity". Based on the first Anglo-Maratha war of 18th century colonial India, this romantic movie also marks the Hollywood debut of actor Abhay Deol.

This is not the first time that Bipasha would be attending the festival. In 2007, she walked the red carpet to promote her film "Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal", along with her co-star and her then boyfriend John Abraham.

Directed by Roland Joffe, "Singularity" has been lined up to be showcased at the Cannes film fest as part of a promotional drive.

The year 2009 saw Karan Johar attending the festival to represent a lifestyle brand. The subsequent year saw Deepika Padukone making her presence felt in traditional Indian wear as the face of a liquor brand.

In 2011, Sonam Kapoor, Minissha Lamba and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra walked the red carpet. While Sonam and Minissha were representing the brands they endorse, Mehra's docu-drama "Bollywood-The Greatest Love Story Ever Told" was screened at the event.

Aishwarya Rai flies to Dubai with daughter Aaradhya!

Work beckons Aishwarya Rai. The gorgeous mom is on a two-day trip to Dubai and has taken her four-month-old daughter Aaradhya along.

Without giving the paparazzi a chance to click a picture of the dear Aaradhya, Aishwarya Rai, we hear, left for Dubai along with her mom Vrinda Rai, the baby’s nanny, and Ash’s PR manager, to be at Dubai World Cup, which is a horseracing event.

Aishwarya is reportedly going to be a part of a brand event there.

This is baby Aaryadhya Bachchan’s first trip abroad. Her only trip outside of Mumbai in the past was in February when Ash and Abhishek went for a holiday in Goa. This time, however, papa Abhishek Bachchan isn’t flying along, because he’s busy with his shoots in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, the Bachchans haven’t yet confirmed that the baby girl’s name is indeed Aaradhya though the absence of any denial on their part has been taken as a tacit affirmation.

Aishwarya Rai, for the record, hasn’t given her nod to any Bollywood project after the birth of her baby. She is busy performing the motherly duties and recently Abhishek Bachchan said that Ash will return to films as and when she feels comfortable to do it.

Aishwarya's fake passport found!

In a raid by the special operations group (SOG) at a Vadodara residence, officials found an unexpected document amongst other fake papers.
As the officials were raiding the house of one Premchandra Khandelwal after a tip-off, they came across a forged passport in the name of
Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai, according to media reports. The fake passport mentions Aishwarya Rai's passport number, photo, date of birth and birth place.
The photocopy also mentions that the passport was renewed on May 2, 2006. The police are now investigating the matter to find out how the accused got a copy of the actor's passport.
Four persons were arrested during the raid for allegedly using fake documents to send people abroad.

It’s nappy time for Aishwarya Rai, Lara Dutta and Celina Jaitley

It's a role you haven't seen them in. Away from the limelight, life is all about changing diapers and nurturing their little ones for Bollywood's glamour girls like Aishwarya RaiLara Dutta and Celina Jaitley who have just stepped into motherhood.

Celina Jaitley gave birth to twin boys in Dubai Saturday, and the mother and children are doing well healthwise, according to the actress' husband, hotelier Peter Haag. They have named their twins Winston and Viraaj.

Lara Dutta delivered a baby girl in January and she has been spending time with her bundle of joy, named Sara. However, she is already back to reading scripts.

"Back to hearing scripts and making decisions. Exciting things to look forward to! On another note, nothing smells better than a Johnson's Baby," Lara wrote on Twitter last month.

The actress-producer, married to tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi, was extremely excited about her pregnancy; her face had a glow every time she stepped out confidently with her baby bump.

Actress Aishwarya Rai, who chose to keep away from the shutterbugs during her pregnancy, is also busy doting upon her daughter, born in November 2011.

The four-month-old daughter, said to have been named Aaradhya, is keeping Aishwarya Rai occupied and work has taken a backseat for the actress. The former beauty queen has visibly put on post-pregnancy weight and would have to shed it off before she gets back to the cameras.

Her husband, Abhishek Bachchan, says she is happy playing mom for now and would only return to work when she feels like it.

"When she wants to come back is completely her decision...as and when she decides, when she sees a script she is inspired by - the decision is entirely hers. Currently she is very happy doing what she is doing," Abhishek Bachchan said recently.

Other B-Town actresses who became moms recently include Sonali Kulkarni and Rituparna Sengupta. While Sonali is married to corporate figure Nachiket Pantvaidya, Bengali actress Rituparna who already had a son with childhood sweetheart Sanjay Chakrabarty gave birth to their daughter in July last year.

Shilpa Shetty, married to London-based Raj Kundra, is preparing for her D-day. She announced her pregnancy on Twitter in December 2011, calling it the "most beautiful phase" of her life.

While on one side, she is busy adhering to doctor's instructions, Shilpa Shetty is also looking forward to the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season, starting April. She hopes to cheer for her team Rajasthan Royals, wearing an XXL size jersey of the team.

Actress Antara Mali, best remembered for films like Naach and Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hun, is also said to be expecting her first child. She is married to fashion editor Che Kurien.

Aishwarya Rai attended the L’Oreal-Paris Femina Women Awards 2012

ETHNIC ELEGANCE!

Aishwarya Rai is not trying to avoid media and events. The actress left her motherly duties for a while and attended the L’Oreal-Paris Femina Women Awards 2012 on Thursday night. She was accompanied by her mom Vrinda Rai.

Being the brand ambassador of L’Oreal, and also closely associated with Femina for years -- she was once the Femina Miss India -- Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan came to the award function which saw many glamorous, powerful, influential Indian women. Aishwarya was given the ‘Woman of Worth’ award at the gala event.

The L’Oreal-Paris Femina Women Awards 2012 was awash with lovely ladies who arrived in style at the red carpet. The gorgeous Aishwarya Rai chose to look simple and went for an ethnic churidaar-suit. Of late, she has developed a liking for anarkalis, and if not an anarkali suit, she likes to wear long kurtis paired with churidaar.

For the event she chose a multicoloured attire which looked as vibrant as her glowing face. But we really wish to see her in a sari for an event. Many of her fans would also agree that Aishwarya looks fabulous draped in a six-yard piece, and that could also break the monotony of her tried-and-tested desi looks.

For all ye Aishwarya Rai fans, here’s the actress from the L’Oreal-Paris Femina Women Awards 2012:

Beti B very sweet, obedient: Abhishek

Father-son duo Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan addressed the media in Mumbai for the first time after Aishwarya's delivery.
The Bachchan family is on cloud nine. "We are very happy. We are happy to have a daughter. This is what Abhishek and Jaya wanted."
"Aishwarya is also very happy but a little tired," added Abhishek.
Big B is grateful to the media for respecting their privacy.
"I'm thankful to the media for following the regulations issued for coverage. The media kept their promise."
He added, "I never asked the I & B (Information and broadcast) ministry to do it. Broadcast Editors Association (BEA) had issued the regulations."
Amitabh can't stop praising his daughter-in-law: "Aishwarya wanted to have a normal delivery. She was in acute labour for two-three hours and refused to take any pain killers. She acted brave all through."
What are Big B's current projects? "KBC is over. Main bekaar hoon (I'm unemployed)."
Abhishek corrects him: "He's in full duty of his granddaughter."
Abhishek on daughter: "She's very sweet and obedient. Shant hai, zyada roti nahi hai (She's quiet and doesn't cry much)."
So has the feeling sunk in?
"I'm still getting used to the fact that I'm a father now. It's still sinking in and I haven't got used to it yet," says dad Abhishek.
Any celebration happening soon?
"No big celebration. People are visiting, they are welcome. That's about it," says Big B.
Baby B's name is still undecided.
"We are still thinking on the name. It's just a thought that it should start with A. There won't be any naamkaran. As soon as we decide upon a name, we'll keep it," concluded Big B.

Baby of the year!

Ever since her parents tied the knot in April 2007, she's been one of the most anticipated babies in the world. She finally arrived on November 16, at around 9.50 am, after proving wrong all astrological predictions and journalistic speculations.
Over the last four years, every time her mommy Aishwarya put on or lost a few kilos, there was immediately a 'pregnant pause'. This year, in June, when grandpa, Amitabh Bachchan finally confirmed the rumour, Ash's 'baby bump' came under close scrutiny as specialists and star-gazers debated on whether it was going to be one B or two.
Abhishek's assertion that his wife wasn't carrying twins fell on deaf ears. It was more romantic to believe that she'd complete the 'humdo-hamare-do' family picture in one shot. Getting the date right was tricky business but once it was public knowledge that the baby would arrive in November, popular opinion swung to the first day of the month. 1.1.11 came and went, and only Aishwarya celebrated a quiet birthday.
Next up: 11. 11. 11. This day that came once in a century was considered auspicious by 'pandits' (priests) and worthy of a C-section by a city tabloid. The normally affable Abhishek dismissed the story as a great piece of fictional writing, entertaining and wonderfully ironic given that two years ago the same paper had written that Aishwarya would never be able to conceive.
"It's preposterous to suggest that any husband or parent would induce the birth of a child on a particular day because it is considered auspicious," he argued heatedly, adding that no 'pandits' had been consulted. "I don't believe in numerology or astrology. If you do, I respect that. But I don't and you should respect that." Was anyone listening? No, because on November 11, around 11 minutes past 11 pm, my Blackberry was buzzing with news that Aishwarya had delivered a baby boy.
When I called manager, I was told she was home in her own bed. Around 11.30 pm, her father-in-law tweeted that the rumour was "incorrect and false". He went on to say that he was watching Saawariya and eulogised over Ranbir Kapoor rather than the ninth Bachchan.
Two days later, he wrote that the family was gathering in Jalsa for the 'arrival'. No one believed the baby would come on Sunday, an unlucky 13th. Bets were being laid for a Children's Day child. Aishwarya did land up at the Seven Hills Hospital on November 14 but she didn't deliver on that day or the next. It was only around 9 am that she was reportedly wheeled in for a 'normal' delivery without painkillers and epidural. And it wasn't two Bs or even a boy as had been agreed. It's a girl!!!!! Abhishek tweeted at around 9.55 am. Just five days old with her mother's fair skin and light eyes, Beti B, as her Pa has dubbed her on twitter, has silenced the know-alls. She's proved that in a country where a boy takes the family line forward, a daughter is as much-wanted by Bollywood's first family. She's shown through her 38year-old Miss World mother that a woman is never too old or too posh to push. So will the media now let the Bachchans be. Unlikely! The speculations continue uninterrupted.
A couple of hours after her birth someone insisted she'd been named Viveka because the conjunction of alphabets is lucky. A couple of days a morphed photograph of a heavily-made-up Aishwarya on a hospital bed cradling a newborn in her arms started making the rounds. On my part, I'd rather wonder if her already mesmerised grandpa will be able to introduce her to the Billy Bunter classics he read as a child. Laugh with her over fat man Hardy and thin man Laurel's antics. Share a kulfi with her and may be a gola, candyfloss and bhutta too. And one monsoon show her how to do the Paa rain dance!

Aishwarya Rai Pictures

Aishwarya Rai’s baby girl nicknamed Beti B

Mumbai, Nov 19 (TruthDive): Abhishek is ‘Paa’ now and he is extremely excited that he has become father of a cute angel.
Abhishek said he can’t wait to bring his new-born daughter and wife, Ash home. The Bollywood star says that his family is overwhelmed with all the love they have received from all fans, media and the industry. Abhishek also thanked the media for its support.
Aishwarya, 38, gave birth to a baby girl on Wednesday morning at the private Seven Hills Hospital where she was admitted on Monday night.
The Bachchans have not yet decided on the names of the cutie but following Shahana Goswami’s suggestion, Abhishek called her ‘Beti B’.
“And till we find a name for the little lady, a dear friend Shahana Goswami gave me a great one. We have Sr B and Jr B already so… Beti B! Much like my father Sr Bachchan, I too spent the day observing every little thing about the little one,” he posted.
The proud grandfather added that it is interesting to watch Beti B in her crib but she is sleeping most of the time.
Aishwarya has shown immense courage during her pregnancy and had reportedly told the doctors that she would wait for a normal delivery rather than a C-section and as per her wishes it was a normal delivery.
Some family friends like former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh, filmmaker Goldie Behl and his wife Sonali Bendre, as well as filmmakers Apoorva Lakhia and Bunty Walia, visited the hospital to meet the ‘Beti B’. Most celebrities like Anupam Kher,Javed Akhtar,Sonam Kapoor, Bipasha Basu and Arjun Rampal, as well as melody queen Lata Mangeshkar took to Twitter to shower blessings on the baby girl.
Both Abhishek and Amitabh have thanked everyone for their wishes.
