Aamir Khan taking swimming classes for movie Talaash

Aamir Khan who didn’t know swimming at all, has eventually learned swimming for his upcoming suspense drama film Talaash.
That’s not all, Aamir even had to take underwater swimming, which is harder than regular swimming.
Aamir who plays inspector Shekhawat will be seen doing a shot of an underwater sequence.
This sequence required Aamir Khan to do the under water swimming that was shot extensively in London.
Undoubtedly, swimming is something that takes a lot of time, it demands hardcore practice session and commitment towards leaning something completely new.
Aamir’s trainer David helped him throughout the learning process. While he learned primary swimming from Mickey Mehta.
Aamir says “Actually Dave is helping me prepare under water sequence, he is helping me with breathing exercises which increases my lung power and allows me to stay under water for longer.”
Director Reema Kagti who was present during Aamir Khan’s training was quite impressed. “Aamir I really have to tell , I’m very impressed with your swimming”
As a matter of fact the entire crew was amazed to see that Aamir had picked up the swimming so soon

Katrina Kaif caught between Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan!

Katrina Kaif was never out of demand, but this time vying for her are two leading superstars: Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan.

Looks like there’s an unlikely tug of war for Kat underway between the two Khans. While the pernickety Mr. Perfectionist wants Katrina Kaif in Chicago for the ongoing shooting schedule of Dhoom 3, the King Khan wants her in Ladakh for the important sequences for which Katrina’s presence is mandated. Shahrukh Khan has won the first round of bout, as Katrina Kaif has left for Ladakh for a two-week schedule. Interestingly, sources claim that she won’t leave Ladakh even after her portions are filmed because Shahrukh wants her to be around while shooting some complex scenes.

Which means Aamir Khan will have to wait longer to practice stunts with Katrina Kaif in Chicago. The star has already started shooting the film in the US but seems unhappy over the overstretched absence of the film’s leading lady from the sets.

However, since both the films are being made under the banner of Yash Raj Films, shifting dates wasn’t an issue. Keeping the heroes happy may be a concern, but rest assured that Aamir Khan is not a star to throw tantrums. And though he and Shahrukh Khan may not be thick as thieves, they indeed are friends and professional enough to make adjustments.

Satyamev Jayate Aamir Khan | Official Theme Song

Aamir Khan’s baby boy Azad Rao Khan faces camera!

Tust Aamir Khan to be naughty! The actor has shot a promo of his upcoming TV show Satyamev Jayate with son Azad Rao Khan without his wife Kiran Rao’s knowledge. It seems the cool dad is okay with his son facing the camera as Azad is barely five months old now.

While talking to a tabloid, the actor reveals that a promo of Satyamev Jayate features his son Azad, but that’s for family viewing only. Aamir’s wife Kiran Rao was already furious over using their Bandra residence for the shooting of the promos. Kiran also barred the makers from showing Azad’s nursery.

Aamir Khan says, “Half the time I shot the campaign, Azad was in my lap,” so when Kiran wasn’t around they shot a promo with Azad. Aamir adds, “At first, I told her (Kiran) that we shot a promo with him and it looked very good. Then I told her that I was kidding and we wouldn’t use it.”

Was Azad comfortable in front of camera? Aamir says Azad is a happy baby with good temperament and an amazing smile. However, the promo is not for the audiences, Aamir has decided to keep the footage strictly for family viewing.

Aamir Khan’s Satyamev Jayate starts May 6 and the actor is hopeful that the show will click with the audience. Satyamev Jayate is going to be an emotional roller-coaster ride for the Indian audiences.

Will Aamir Khan’s new show ‘Satyameva Jayate’ be a game changer?

AAMIR KHAN ON TV!

Trust Aamir Khan to rustle up something extraordinary every time he puts his mind and heart to a creative endeavour! The first round of TV promos of Aamir Khan’s new show Satyameva Jayate seems to deal with the janta janardan. Amidst the crappy league of reality shows of modern-day Indian television, Aamir’s show looks much more grounded, ‘real’, and with a social undertone.

At first when viewers were treated to the trailers of Satyameva Jayate, it didn’t look like the promo of a big show. A humble-looking Aamir Khan is seen eating while sitting cross-legged. However, what he says is not to be missed, “aaj kal itna chaos hai..itne channels..media..hum aaj dekhtey hain kal bhool jate hain..aankh se nahi dil se dekh kar dekho”.

The other two promos of Aamir Khan’s show are also created on the same theme. In one of the promos he says that he wants his ammi (mother), and even his housemaid to see this show sitting together - Sab ka apna show ho, Har zindagi se takraye.

The show is believed to have a concept hitherto unseen on Indian television. Aamir was quite gung-ho about the TV show when he started working on it. Reportedly he has spent a lot of time on this one and has taken into account every aspect of it. By now, you must have understood that he has designed a show which is going to be soul-stirring. In one of the trailers he even says that entertainment doesn’t mean making the audiences laugh.

The response to the promos is good. The masses, especially youngsters, have liked Aamir, but still the show’s concept is cocooned in mystery. Satyameva Jaayate is expected to hit your TV sets in May. It could be a gamechanger, while many would still weigh it with Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. Can the show beat the popularity of KBC?

Aamir shows Priyanka top secret sets

Priyanka Chopra and Aamir Khan bonded over tea on the sets of the latter’s closely guarded television show at Yash Raj Films’s studio in Andheri last week. Priyanka was also there working on an ad film.
“When Priyanka heard that Aamir was shooting next door, she requested her director to take a break so that she could go and say hi,” a source at the venue says, adding, “Aamir, who usually keeps his shoots under wraps, welcomed her and allowed her to see the set, the format of the show and some part of the shoot as well.”
Last week, Priyanka was seen networking with Raju Hirani at Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s party to celebrate Sachin Tendulkar’s 100th century. The party was held at the Ambani mansion Antilla in Tardeo. Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and the Bachchans were also present. About the recent encounter, Priyanka’s spokesperson confirms, “Yes, Aamir and Priyanka met at YRF.”
The two were earlier spotted together at a screening of Peepli Live and rumours stated that they would work together in an adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’s The Three Musketeers. But the reports were not confirmed. While Priyanka has worked with Shah Rukh Khan, Salman and Hrithik, she is yet to work with Aamir Khan.

Aamir Khan is not ‘mentally’ prepared for ‘Dhoom 3’!

Aamir Khan wants to prepare forDhoom 3! That goes without saying, but Aamir wants some more time before he starts shooting forDhoom 3. Wondering what’s wrong with the Khan? His decision has even affected the dates of actress Katrina Kaif.

The tinsel town is abuzz with this latest development on Dhoom 3. Though the movie was announced last year, its shoot was supposed to start by January this year, which later was shifted to March. Now, since Aamir has already expressed his hesitation to start off with the film, the delay in the release of the film is inevitable. So the fans ofDhoom franchise and Aamir, the movie won’t roll until April. YRF has also confirmed the news.

But what could be the reason? Aamir had ample time as Yash Raj Films declared the movie with Aamir Khan way early in February 2011. According to the reports, the actor has told the producers that he is not “mentally prepared” for the role of a villain in Dhoom 3.

Also last year had been hectic for the Khan. After his home production Delhi Belly released in July, he started the shoot of Talaash. Then in December he and his wife Kiran Rao were blessed with a baby boy, and Aamir chose to spend more time with his family.

Aamir Khan has also postponed the release of his movie Talaash to November 30 because he’s been busy with his upcoming TV show. However, amidst all these, Katrina Kait is likely to suffer. With the delay in the shoot of Dhoom 3, it’s learnt that the actress’ film schedule for the year has gone for a toss.

Already she’s looking at three films this year: Kabir Khan’s film Ek Tha Tiger,Yash Chopra’s untitled film with Shahrukh Khan, which is up for Diwali release, and Vijay Krishna Acharya’s yet-to-start Dhoom 3.

Spending all my free time with son Azad: Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan is a bit free these days and the actor-producer is keeping himself busy spending time in watching his newborn son grow up.
"Hope the new year has begun well for you all. Me, I'm spending all my free time with Azad :-) Love. a," the 46-year-old posted on his Facebook page.
Aamir and his second wife Kiran Rao's son was born on December 1 last year, to a surrogate mother through IVF. The couple has named the boy Azad, after freedom fighter and independent India's first education minister Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Aamir's great grand uncle.
The actor, who also has a son, Junaid, and a daughter, Ira, from his first wife Reena, loves playing with his new bundle of joy.
This year, he will be seen only in one project. He will feature alongside Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor in Talaash, a psychological thriller written and directed by Reema Kagti.
This apart, he has also joined hands with Star Plus for a talk show, said to be completely for the masses. He has sent out an open invite to his fans, who wish to be a part of the show's audience.
Aamir has also been signed on to play the villain in Dhoom 3. But the movie will only release in 2013.

Top 10 Bollywood actors that ruled 2011!

From He-Man to funny man, from flamboyant to sombre - Bollywood's top notch actors have shone on the silver screen in various avatars and also kept the cash registers ringing. We list the top 10 actors of the year:

1) Salman Khan - He should be titled hit khan. If Bollywood's knight in shining armour bailed the industry out in 2009 and 2010, he boosted the box office business this year too with Bodyguard and Ready. In both, neither the content was premium, nor were the performances superlative, but what helped the actor stand out were the big bucks his films yielded at the box office, strengthening his position as a bankable star.

2) Aamir Khan: What one missed in Salman Khan's films was prominently present in Aamir Khan-starrer Dhobi Ghat. Aamir wowed his fans as a lonely painter in the directorial debut of his wife Kiran Rao, who deftly handled a bouquet of stories, travelling across various sections of society in the lanes and bylanes of Mumbai. The actor had just one release, that too, consciously designed for niche audiences, but everyone eulogised it, saying, "Wow! What a performance! What an actor!"
If that were not enough, Aamir was admired for daring to produce adult comedy Delhi Belly and the film's success further strengthened his image in volatile Bollywood.

3) Ranbir Kapoor: If his great grandfather, grandfather and parents are admired and respected for their cinematic genius, Ranbir Kapoor has proved that he is a true torch-bearer of the Kapoor khandan. The youngster excelled in his only release Rockstar, which was marred by a bad script. His role required a range of emotions and he stood out in every scene and kept the audiences hooked.
4) Shah Rukh Khan: Romance is his forte! But this time Shah Rukh Khan donned the garb of a superhero in RA.One to woo his fans. Though the film was not appreciated much for its content, his fans liked him as a geek scientist and as a superhero. He also earned praise for the use of technology, innovative marketing and promotional techniques to promote his product.

5). Amitabh Bachchan: Retirement? No way, says Big B. Instead he is grabbing central roles at the age of 69 and this year too he came out with two films Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap and Aarakshan - as different as chalk and cheese. If the former saw him as a flamboyant underworld don, the latter featured him as a college principal fighting for the rights of students. In terms of business, neither were money spinners, but as far as acting is concerned, Amitabh is Amitabh. He was terrific in both the roles and critics gave him a thumbs up.

6) Farhan Akhtar: When there is a huge star cast, it is not easy to make an impression. But Farhan Akhtar did that in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, which also starred Abhay Deol and Hrithik Roshan. The art of acting is all about sensitivity, emoting, feelings -and Farhan got them all right.

7) Hrithik Roshan: Usually seen in over-the-top roles, Hrithik Roshan for the first time did a role that was slightly offbeat and closer to reality. If Kites didn't allow him to fly high in the sky, his performance in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara helped him unleash his potential as an actor.

8) R. Madhvan: An NRI, who belongs to a middle-class family, returns home to find a wife. He encounters a drunken girl, who is not interested in marrying him. But her spirit is such that he falls head over heels in love with her and it becomes heartbreaking for him to let her go with some other guy. Madhavan not only suited the role, but he revelled in it, earning plaudits from both critics and fans.

9) Abhay Deol: He emerged as the dark horse. Be it a doomed lover in Dev D or a smart thief in Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye, he has effortlessly carried his roles in the past. He continued his winning streak as a confused lover in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

10) Saif Ali Khan: This Khan showed his sparks in Omkara and after that he embarked on a journey that showed his versatility. This year he had just one release in Aarakshan, which was not a super hit, but the film's box office performance didn't overshadow Saif's work. Critics felt he scored very highly in sincerity, subtlety and sheer screen presence as a Dalit boy in the movie, highlighting the reservation issue.
